If you are considering selling your home there is nothing like the present to start cleaning up around the exterior of your property. First impressions are very important; home buyers decide the moment they drive up to your home if they want to go in and if they would want to consider purchasing it.
*By spending about $400 - $500 on freshening it up you could boost your home's value by $1600 - $1800! That's a minimum of $1,100 increase!
Here are a few things to consider:
- Remove weeds and trim overgrown plants
- Keep the lawn mowed and edged, fill in empty spots with sod
- Plant some fresh flowers and put potted plants on the porch
- If you have an extended porch add a chair to two with a small outdoor table
- If driveway and walkway have stains, power-wash
- Power-wash, clean or put a fresh coat of paint on exterior walls
